Baseimmune: A New Approach to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Meet Dr Joshua Blight, co-founder and CSO of Baseimmune based at LBIC: Apex.
For years, therapies for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) have targeted a single biological pathway.
Baseimmune is taking a different approach: an active immunotherapy designed to act on multiple pathways at once, aiming to disrupt and reset the disease rather than slow its progression.
That conviction to tackle complex diseases using a different approach can be traced back to his time at Oxford's Jenner Institute. His multi-epitope targeting approach has evolved, at LBIC: Apex , into a focused fibrosis pipeline defined through close collaboration with leading clinicians in the field.
