Facilities Manager

Zak is the Facilities Coordinator at LBIC, where he looks after a range of operational services that support clients and their laboratories across both the McFadyean and Apex buildings. He manages LBIC’s sterilisation services, delivering reliable autoclaving and glassware washing, and oversees the collection and disposal of clinical, solvent, WEEE, and bulky waste streams. Zak also coordinates the lab coat laundry service, ensuring clients have a clean and compliant working environment.

Zak holds a BSc in Neuroscience and brings hands-on laboratory experience from his previous role as a Lab Assistant at a biotech company. This background gives him a deep understanding of client needs and supports the effective running of their scientific work.
