Lauren Smith

Business Development and Marketing Manager

Lauren is the Business Development and Marketing Manager at LBIC.  She leads on marketing, branding and messaging to position LBIC as the destination of choice for biotech and life sciences companies. Her role involves the planning and execution of LBIC's marketing plan, ensuring alignment with LBIC’s strategic objectives.  Lauren works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to attract high-calibre clients and maintain LBIC’s strong reputation in the life sciences sector.

Lauren graduated from Lincoln University in New Zealand with a Bachelor of Commerce in Agriculture and went on to gain international exposure, including a Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia. Before joining LBIC in November 2023, Lauren held senior marketing roles at global organisations across various industries. A passionate advocate for health, sustainability, and agriculture, Lauren also works closely with the Royal Veterinary College to ensure alignment with the academic KPIs.
