Janette Richardson-Lee

Director of Operations

Janette is the Director of Operations at the LBIC, where she has worked for over 17 years. She manages LBIC’s operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery to client companies and overseeing the financial management of budgets and facilities services. She also plays a key role in strategic planning, sourcing contractors, and negotiating contracts.

Before becoming Director of Operations, Janette joined LBIC in 2007 as Facilities Supervisor. She has a background in lab management, health and safety, and customer service, which has equipped her with a diverse skill set and a thorough understanding of LBIC’s operations and client needs. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Genetics from the University of Aberdeen and a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety. 

Janette represents LBIC at senior-level committees and external events, working with the Director of Business Development & Marketing to attract new clients. She has recently led the business case for the Apex design project, securing funding for its development. Her experience across all aspects of the business has made her an essential part of LBIC’s leadership team.
