Our lead project is MKA 104, a small molecule inhaled treatment opportunity for Cystic Fibrosis. MKA 104 is a long duration down-regulator of airway epithelial sodium channel activity. The drug targets normalising the excessive sodium channel activity that drives development of chronic degenerative lung disease in CF patients.
Mucokinetica has been granted Orphan Designation by the European Commission for MKA 104 for development as a treatment for CF.
