The creation of the London BioScience Innovation Centre 2001 was a direct response to the evident shortage of accommodation for life sciences activity in Central London. LBIC forms a key part of the London Development Agency’s strategy for life sciences, with the objective of developing a commercial life sciences cluster around the Capital’s world-class knowledge base.
Proximity to the Royal Veterinary College offers access to College facilities and a range of contract services as well as opportunities for research collaboration.
LBIC companies are expected to remain at the Centre for around three years, before graduating to a purpose built building or Science Park.
